In the latest episode of Washington D.C.’s very own melodrama, the DOJ’s star turncoat found himself in the crosshair of his worst enemy:
His very own testimony.
It only took Nick Smith, Defense Attorney for Ethan Nordean, a few questions and one clip of Jeremy’s own testimony, played over and over again to have Mr. Bertino physically scrambling in his seat to avoid the weight of his own prior testimony to the FBI, one that painted the TRUTH of the Proud Boys organization, instead of the two day smear campaign Jeremy had laid own to save himself from his own illegal firearms felony charges.
Defendants leaned forward in their seats and breathed a physical sigh of relief to watch Jeremy contradict himself and unknowingly admit to his lies and spin jobs… and prosecutors were quick to clamor and stomp about at the podium to make their case to the judge.
AUSA Erik Kenerson and Jason McCullough claimed to have spent all their time and tax payer resources cataloguing and timestamping their exhibits to provide them (as is required by law, this is not a favor to the defense) to the Defense teams. McCullough made a lengthy and exasperated claim that it’s only fair that they be prepared the same way;
BY HAVING THE DEFENSE PROVIDE THE LIST OF BERTINO’S STATEMENTS THEY PLAN TO CROSS EXAMINE.
The issue?
These Prosecutors conducted Bertino’s interviews themselves.
What Jason McCullough REALLY wants is NOT to be ‘prepared.’
McCullough KNOWS by asking for a roadmap to his own interviews, the REAL strategy is to ensure that by burdening the defense to provide a PRE-CONCIEVED LIST OF THE CROSS EXAMINATIONS, that any question he doesn’t approve of, he can get thrown out, and anything that they cannot pre-conceive of in time for the judges deadline, is now effectively OFF LIMITS.
Each of the defendants faces up to 20 years in prison or more if convicted.
Lie #2: Tarrio ‘Witheld’ His Plans From The Club And Changed The Plan Last Minute
REALITY: Starting with the fact that Tarrio was not PRESENT on J6 due to his arrest for burning a political banner. He served FIVE MONTHS for property damages, instead of a standard and appropriate probation and fine, Tarrio held more than one DOCUMENTED voice call with then-leadership sent out to wide swathes of the club, to ensure SAFETY of the entire group.Tom Cruise had more access to justice in Minority Report.
But in the spirit of fairness, after watching how quickly Jeremy Bertino COLLAPSED under the weight of his own previous testimony on the stand, it’s really no surprise that the DOJ is running to the judge begging to muzzle their opposition.

This trial has already overshot the 6 week long trial estimate, and may drag out longer as these direct and cross examinations play out.
